According to the law of attraction, the more emotion and thought you can put behind an intention, the better. I did a Deepak meditation yesterday, wherein the mantra was “attention activates desire,” further cementing the theory.
You can, of course, turn your attention to an intention in anyway you like – pray, meditate, journal. For me, in this moment, I’m using all of the tools available to me and so as I read my intentions daily, I pause, close my eyes and VISUALIZE what it looks like. For instance, using my recent intention, “My creative expression brings me financial abundance,” I think about making pom pons and having people pay me. I see myself in workshops, teaching some artsy thing and laughing with fellow students.
Here is an excerpt from a book I have really enjoyed, E-Squared by Pam Grout. This book is pretty rad because it outlines a handful of ‘experiments’ anyone can do to prove that our thoughts create our reality. I highly recommend it, but mostly because of the positive, affirming stories and wisdom. The experiments are fun, too. I had my bf Ken do one last winter and within a day, he HAD manifested an “unexpected gift”. He was remiss to give the universe credit, but I certainly made the connection!
Grout writes, “You’re energy. At each moment, you mold and shape this energy by your consciousness. You do so with every thought, every intention, every action. How you feel; what you think, believe and value; and how you live your life affect how the energy flows through you. To put it in simplest terms, this affects how you vibrate. And how you vibrate affects what you pull in from the interlocking, inter balancing, ever-moving energy field in which you swim. You pull out of this field and into your world anything that happens to be vibrating on the same frequency or wavelength…………We are the initiators of the vibrations, and therefore the “magnets,” or the cause.”
So, you know…..the Law of Attraction. Like attracts like. If you want to live it, you have to live it. Make sense?
